Explanation of Treatment
The services we provide are brief and are focused on meeting your individual needs as well as resolving your current problem. Every client presents with unique difficulties, therefore treatment varies depending on you the individual. In this setting treatment may include medication, individual therapy, family therapy, or group therapy. The need for medication will be evaluated and managed by a Psychiatrist at Phoenix Behavioral Health. Therapy will usually be provided by either a Psychologist or a Masters Level Therapist.
Therapy can be beneficial in significantly reducing stress, improving relationships and resolving specific problems. Therapy is usually directed toward making changes or developing a better understanding of a problem. This can sometimes involve experiencing feelings that make you uncomfortable. These feelings should be discussed with your Therapist. You have an important role in your therapy because only you can make your therapy work. You spend a limited amount of time with your Therapist, therefore completing your homework assignments as well as participating in activities that are recommended by your Therapist will have a positive effect on how well and quickly you make progress.
